Haiti

This blog was started to help keep us connected to those we love and are supported by here at home (IN and IL) while we are off in Haiti. Kathleen and I have had this growing passion for Haiti that has taken us down this extraordinary path of GOD opening doors and paving the way for us to follow HIM. October was the first time I met with a Global Partners representative to talk about this possible medical mission trip and then in December was when Kathleen really became a part of the package (the better half in my opinion). From the beginning options of Sierra Leone, Zambia, Haiti, and China, I really felt an attraction to Haiti. I don't know why. GOD must have just spoke into my heart because I have never really thought a ton about Haiti before then. Now we are in full swing trying to raise support and get to Haiti to begin serving with the Thedes. They are a missionary family through Global Partners who have worked in Haiti as a horticulturist and a medical doctor. They have been in Haiti for over seven years! We hope that you will read this blog and join us on this crazy adventure. This really will be the summer of a lifetime.

The beginning of a beautiful summer

Kathleen and I have started a the most exciting summer of our lives this far! On April 25 we graduated from IWU. The day flew by and we are still trying to come to terms that our college years are over! Now we are trying to put our wedding together while sending out letters to ask people to join us in our this Haiti adventure. Kath and I love to talk about what God has in store for us in the Caribbean on the small island of Hispaniola. We have been so blessed in the past several weeks as people have joined us in our mission to Haiti by financial giving and being willing to commit to prayer. This summer has a lot to hold and we are trying to enjoy each day of it in the midst of the busyness.
